OUR SELECTION OF BEST HOTELS IN VAL D'ISÈRE

Our home, in the heart of the iconic Espace Killy Region. Val d'Isère combines alpine magic with the best skiing conditions in the Alps, on or off-piste. Full of luxury chalets and impressive five star hotels, Val d’Isère has all the ingredients for a fun and luxurious ski holiday in France.

The Village

The village has a truly international flavour with French, British, Russian, American and Scandinavian visitors making up the majority of its guests. The village operates a pretty slick operation, with large investment in recent years seeing the luxury market boom in resort; boasting two Michelin starred restaurants, several high-end boutique shops, as well as fantastic après ski and nightlife venues. The international ski season in Europe is kick-started in Val d'Isère every December with the 'Premier Neige' World Cup - and of course it also famously hosted the blue-ribbon events for the men's downhill in the Winter Olympics of 1992. There are plenty of celebrated occasions in the village throughout the year, from ski shows to major holidays, so the village is often glowing with firework displays and torch-lit descents down the Face de Bellevarde.

The Skiing

Val d'Isère and its close neighbour Tignes are blessed with some of the most beautiful skiing in the world, facilitated by a modern and ever developing lift system. Not only does it suit beginners by providing free access to a selection of lifts at the base of the village, but once you've conquered the all-important snowplough you can progress to explore over 300km of finely groomed piste. For the intermediate and advanced you will find vast amounts of incredible terrain, from steep mountain chutes to back country bowls and fun tree runs.
There is a huge array of ski schools in Val d'Isère which cater for beginners looking to find their snow legs, right through to expert skiers seeking jump techniques in the park or off-piste guidance. The key is to find an instructor that works for you and your group. Hip Hideouts live and work in the resort, and we can introduce you to the right company for your needs.

Off the slopes

Skiing is not the only focus in Val d'Isère - each winter many come to the valley to relax in the mountain spas and soak up the stunning vistas. Within the resort we have a beautiful aqua centre finished in locally sourced stone and wood, complete with full gym suites, yoga classes, spa facilities and squash courts. There is an outdoor skating rink, an ice driving circuit, husky dog trails and snowshoeing adventures. If you want to be a bit more daring then you might want to try skidooing, parapenting or a helicopter trip.
