clos mireille
ROMANTIC, UNSPOILT, UTTERLY EXCLUSIVE

Undoubtedly one of the most exclusive properties in the South of France. Set amongst a vast 54 hectares of famous Côtes de Provence vines, Domaines Ott is probably the most famous rosé of them all. Owned by the Louis Roederer Champagne house, Clos Mireille is a magically restored Bastide with nine beautiful contemporary bedrooms and a private pool. There is a private access directly onto the stunning Plage du Pellegrin where you can paddle board, snorkel, swim or soak up the sun. Dreamy evenings are spent drinking rosé whilst playing pétanque and courtyard dining under the stars. There are numerous daytime activities including wines tours, private boat trips to Porquerolles or simply exploring the local towns of Bormes-Les-Mimosa and Le Lavandou. We operate the property exclusively and discretion is assured. Welcome to the real South of France.

The Design

Beautifully restored in 2009 back to its former glory the main Bastide of Clos Mireille is split into three areas; the main house, the pool house and the gate house, and all have direct access onto a typical Provençal courtyard. The house has nine bedrooms and can sleep up to 18 guests. The large rooms are a beautiful mix of polished concrete floors and hand crafted ethnic fabrics. Huge metal window frames bathe the rooms in natural light and let the Provence sun cast its shadows across the floors. There is a large living and reception room and a dining room seating up to 18 diners, however most dining occurs under the stars to the sound of the cicadas.

The Grounds

There is something very special about Clos Mireille, whether it's the deep redness of the soil, the saltiness from the nearby sea or the freshness of the pines. This is the Mediterranean as it has been for thousands of years. Set amongst 60 hectares of vines, Clos Mireille enjoys a privileged spot nestled between La Londe and the Presidential Palace at Fort de Brégançon. Domaines Ott is a working vineyard and lays claim to be the inventors of the rosé wine but it is often the white which is adored by the locals and the residents of Provence. Take a wine tour of the cellars and the grounds or head down the path to the beach adorned by juicy grapes and leafy vines.

The Beach

Pellegrin du Plage is one of the last unspoilt beaches in the South of France and you will have private access to it. This is how Brigitte Bardot would have found it when she first visited the region in the 1950s, peaceful, serene and stunningly beautiful. The water is warm from June to October and you can sit back and enjoy rosé from the cellar. Sun loungers to soak up the sun, paddle boards and snorkel gear to seek out adventures. Stroll round to the Café Léoube for octopus salad. Stay a little or a lot, the day is yours.

The service

Our onsite Hip Hideouts' team, comprising of a house manager and breakfast team, will be there to look after you during your stay. A healthy buffet breakfast and housekeeping are included on each day of your stay. If you wish to have a private chef arranged for dinner then this can be arranged in advance when available. A substantial à la carte wine list is also available.

Surroundings

Clos Mireille is perfectly located on the Provence coast and has great access to neighbouring villages and towns such as the beautiful hillside Bormes-Les-Mimosa or the ever stunning St Tropez. The jewels of this part of the South of France are the golden islands or Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Île du Levant. Each island offers something completely different and they feel worlds apart from the mainland, but accessible in less than 20 minutes. Charter a boat for the day or for your entire stay. The beauty of the vineyard is it's discrete location on the coast where privacy is paramount.

Les Côtes de Provence is one of the most beautiful wines regions in the world and there are a number of wonderful vineyards to visit and explore.

Zone Out

Holidays mean different things to different people. Clos Mireille provides the perfect backdrop for you to reconnect with nature. The size of the estate means you are away from urban areas and can really relax, but if you do want to visit the local villages we can help you arrange E-bikes or car hire.

SUPPER AT CLOS MIREILLE

Sunset brings out the best in all of us. The traditional Apéro hour is the time to celebrate the day and kick off the evening. As the pinkish hues of the sunset skim across the terracotta coloured stone, supper time at Clos Mireille is a magical experience. A large kitchen is available to you for evening preparations, but also we can connect you with our black book of professional chefs to bring you the best of what the surrounding fields and sea can provide. Alternatively head out to one of the fine restaurants within the local villages and towns, such as La Londe, Lavandou or St Tropez.
