Location
Hotel Mil8 is conveniently located in the centre of the pedestrianised resort, meaning you can make the most of your time with ski-in ski-out access, and exploring of the village. Avoriaz is within the Portes du Soleil ski area offering amazing skiing across 600km.
Design
Hotel Mil8 was opened in December 2019, the name comes from the Altitude of Avoriaz, which sits at 1800m. Designed by Catherine and Jérôme Clermont from Atelier Obermant Paris, the hotel offers comfort and elegance in a stylish mountain getaway. There is a contrast of curves and right angles, and weathered steel, leather and shimmering fabrics giving a contemporary mountain feel. The hotel’s exterior fits in nicely with Avoriaz’s unusual architectural style, with raw materials, natural slate and wooden tiles designed by Morzine architect Hervé Marullaz. The rooms are finished with cosy restful furnishings, and range from 21 sqm rooms to the 56 sqm suites. Check in and feel inspired at this boutique luxury hotel in the French Alps.
Food & Other Facilities
At lunch time, enjoy casual dining with piste access at the brasserie-style restaurant with choices of shared platters or a more traditional Croque Monsieur.
The second restaurant is open in the evenings, located on the ground floor of the hotel. Offering intimate dining, the menu celebrates their elders including traditional sustainable dishes with a fresh creative spin. Bringing back childhood memories, the desserts are classics you can’t forget. The lounge bar offers a cosy place to relax with snacks on offer or tea and cake, for a post-ski treat.
