Val d’Isère is situated high in the Tarentaise valley close to the Italian border. As the village is a very popular winter destination there are several ways in which to arrive in resort. Whether you choose to arrive by air or rail we have a close relationship with Europe Transfers who can arrange your own private vehicle to resort so you don’t have to wait for other planes or be affected by delays. Should you wish to travel by car, we have complimentary covered parking available to you so you don’t have to spend time clearing snow from your car.

Our holidays run Sunday to Sunday allowing you to ski on Saturday when the pistes are quieter. Cheaper flights, less traffic and shorter transfer times, mean that you will arrive in resort quicker and more relaxed.
There is an excellent overnight sleeper service arriving on Sundays at 8am via Paris, arriving by train into Bourg St Maurice leaving you within only 40 minutes of Le Fornet. From there we can arrange for you to be escorted up to resort by our partners Europe Transfers.
Our tailor made service allows us to arrange seats with scheduled and low cost carriers to increase your choice of departure airports, allowing us to arrange short ski breaks and traditional seven night holidays to suit your requirements.

There are four international airports which all have good transport links to Val d'Isère, Chambéry Airport (2hr transfer) is the closest airport to resort.

Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble are the other airports close by at a distance of 180km, 220km and 210km respectively. Transfer times from these airports can take anything between 3 and 4.5 hours depending on traffic and weather conditions.
From Calais the journey takes from 7 to 10 hours depending on your speed. There is motorway or dual carriageway from Calais all the way to Bourg St and then a 30-40 minute climb on single carriage road to the resort.

During snowy weather resorts restrict access to vehicles with ‘équipements speciaux’, i.e. snow-tyres or chains, and sometimes traffic police will not allow any vehicle onto the resort access road without chains being fitted. More importantly you can easily get stuck and/or have an accident when not properly equipped.
If you want to fly over the traffic into Val d'Isère, why not treat yourself to a helicopter transfer for up to five people? Just let us know if you're interested and we can sort it out for you.

We provide a chaffeur service around resort to help you get to your preferred starting point, ski school or local après ski. There is also a very effective village shuttle that operates from 08.30am to 02.05am.
